Clarification on the Latest Legislation Regarding COVID-19 Employee Benefits

The attached PDF document will provide clarification on the Families First Coronavirus Act, signed into law on March 18th. The legislation is an emergency intervention to provide paid leave and other support to millions of workers sidelined by school closures, quarantines, and caregiving. The Capital Services’ FFCRA White Paper provides high-level insight into an employer’s benefit obligations pertaining to employees who may be affected by the virus. While the paper does attempt to address these labor issues, it is important to note that employers should consult with counsel for specific legal obligations.
